Boston Casting, the state’s largest casting company, is holding an open call audition for the new feature film THE FIGHTER starring Mark Wahlberg, on Saturday, May 30, 2009 from 10 am – 4 pm at the VFW Hall, 190 Plain Street, Lowell, MA.

Boston Casting is looking for people to play the following roles:
· Boxers and fighters in their 20’s and 30’s
· Trainers
· Women in their 20’s and 30’s with blonde or red hair
· Residents 18 years and older from Lowell and surrounding communities

The audition is open to everyone 18 years and older. No kids for this audition.

Hello To All……Note to those seeking to submit headshots etc for the Print Go See from CP.Casting…. I got a message from a young lady indicating that CPcasting is not accepting anymore submissions for the Print Go See until further notice…I sent an email to them to inquire if there were to be future submissions of headshots. It is for PRINT WORK for a major clothing retailer.

Because it is not on film or video, it doesn’t matter if you are a member of any actors unions.

Looking for kids/teens who represent the inner-city — “real” kids and teens of all races, not styled up models that you generally see in flyers selling clothing. He’s looking for cool, hip, everyday kids and teens who are outgoing and interested in this kind of work.

Company Men Crews invade Quincy and Weymouth this morning with several location shoots

Good Tuesday MassExtra’s …..Crews for Company Men have been spotted all over Quincy and North Weymouth this morning. I got a great call from a friend informing me about the production crews for Company Men setting up shop across the South Shore. Yellow GTX signs have been seen all around the area and trucks for Company Men are parked at the Lowes Parking lot in North Weymouth at the former Harbor Light Mall. Some locations have been at the Quincy Rotary,off of Washington Street in Quincy,a private home near the Fore River Ship Yard and near a motel in North Weymouth. If anyone has any pictures of these shoots or even a few pics of Ben or Tommy Lee Jones..email em to me and I will post em on the MassExtra2 Blog. I hope to get down there tomorrow to check out the scene. I am hoping that plenty of MassExtra’s were used. Also drop me an email if you see anything else I have not mentioned here. Its me again..MassExtra2 Craig…. Got all that…

So back to the MassExtra2 Blog for a bit…. I have not heard much to this date about any possible location shoots for Witches of Eastwick Pilot for ABC and if Cohasset will be back in the limelight. All I can say is stay tuned! CPcasting is holding summer classes so be sure to register by going to CPcasting.com Also folks from around the South Shore… I am offering to do headshots for a flate rate of 150 for adults and 75.00 for kids. You choose your favorite location and must be done on a nice day,as I do not have a studio for this. The images will be placed onto a CD or DVD or choice. With all of the movies being shot around Boston and the South Shore this Summer,you will need a headshot to bring with you to the casting calls. I do not print out photos,where I do not have the proper printing methods to do this. You can print them out at any CVS or Walgreens or Walmart. Also per the Boston Herald the Track…word is that Mark Whalberg will most likely be shooting a boxing movie in Boston later this Summer. details are forthcoming for this and I bet that there will be casting calls for this in the coming months.
