Just a quick blog posting here folks….
TNT’s Bunker Hill TV Pilot begins filming in Boston Monday at Boston’s Union Oyster House with Donnie Whaleberg…..I wanted to thank Boston Casting for casting the 100 or so background extras for being a part of the production,though I was a bit taken back when I didn’t get the call for being one of the extras chowing down on hot dogs and burgers in the background,this via from this mornings Boston Herald Entertainment section. Production moves to a soundstage in Chelsea today.I guess you had to have that Bawston look to ya,hey no problem,I’ll just wait tapping my shoes. Anyhow,I hope all of you had a great Turkey day. Well its been sometime since I lasted posted on my blog and I apologize for the long wait to hear what is on my mind about all of the major hollywood news going on in Plymouth Mass as to the new and upcoming Plymouth Rock Studios that will begin construction in the coming months. From my Thanksgiving post
I recently did a google search on Kevin James new movie Paul Blart Mall Cop that opens up January 16th of 2009. I viewed the trailer for it and loved it. I was an extra in that film,it was shot around Massachusetts, ie Burlington Mall..It was a long day,but it was great to see Kevin James in action. The crew treated the extras very well. I did three different scenes,so I am hoping that I made at least one. Yes Extra work can make for a looong day and you must wear comfortable shoes and have the patience to do this. I also signed onto Plymouth Casting company the other day and you can go there by entering plymouthcasting.com and fill out the forms and enter in a headshot. I am sure as we go through the coming months and into time frame of Plymouth Rock opening up and productions start up,there will be several casting agencies opening up. I believe that Boston Casting and CP Casting of Boston will open up a office in Plymouth somewhere down there close to the Studios as time goes on. Meanwhile alot of other Hollywood East stuff is happening,with Edge of Darkness still shooting with Mel Gibson, I recently signed onto doing some extra work for War of 04,which is a Irish Mob war movie being shot for Spike TV,but changed my mind when I found out that they were shooting in East Boston. No offense East Boston,but I live in Hull and I have no clue on getting over there public transportation wise or drive to Boston. I also heard Bunker Hill pilot is ob hold shootwise via the Boston Herald entertainment section,because they could not use a functional boston police station,C’mon guys there are plenty of abandoned warehouses in Boston.Send those location scouts to the South Shore,I am sure they can find one down here. Anyways folks..Hollywood is here to stay,so get your best headshot done,polish up your Boston accent and get in line when the cattle call goes out for MassExtra’s
